Season 3 of The Mandalorian will see the continuation of Mando and Grogu’s adventures, a.k.a. Baby Yoda. The Star Wars series debuted on Disney+ in November 2019 and stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character, a bounty hunter on the run. The first two seasons were huge hits for the streaming service, garnering 39 Emmy nominations and 14 wins in the Creative Arts categories. The Mandalorian’s third season has been confirmed for April 2020, and fans are ecstatic about the new episodes.

Here’s everything we know about season 3 of The Mandalorian so far, including the release date, cast, and more.

When will The Mandalorian Season 3 premiere?

Season 3 will debut on Disney+ in February 2023, just over two years after Season 2 ended in December 2020. Season 3 will premiere on May 26, 2022, at the Star Wars Celebration event. “The Mandalorian and Grogu continue their journey in Season 3 of #TheMandalorian, streaming February 2023 on @DisneyPlus,” the official Star Wars Twitter account announced.

Who Is in the Season 3 Cast?

The following actors have been confirmed to return for Season 3:

  • Din Djarin/Mando is played by Pedro Pascal.
  • Baby Yoda/Grogu/The Child, quickly became an internet sensation after the show debuted and is adored by fans.
  • Greef Karga, the leader of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild, is played by Carl Weathers. Carl will also direct one episode in season three.
  • Dr. Pershing is played by Omid Abtahi, an Imperial remnant doctor and scientist.
  • Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito, is the Imperial remnant leader.
  • Amy Sedaris plays Peli Motto, a mechanic and Mando’s ally.
  • Katee Sackhoff plays Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan Kryze.

Season 3: What We Can Expect

The next season of The Mandalorian will take place after the events of The Book of Boba Fett, a spinoff series starring Temuera Morrison as the titular character. Mando appeared in the show and reunited with Grog, who had left The Mandalorian season 2 to train with Luke Skywalker. The new season will most likely feature Mando and Grogu fleeing the Empire’s remnants who want to capture Baby Yoda. Season 3 could see the return of Boba Fett and his ally Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen).

Is a trailer available yet?

Unfortunately, Disney has yet to release the season 3 trailer. The audience was shown an exclusive teaser at the Star Wars Celebration, but it has yet to be released online. The teaser, according to DenOfGeek, explores the fallout from Mando’s decision to remove his helmet in season two. Bo-Katan also appears to question Grogu about his belief that “his father was the only Mandalorian.”
