Kuwait: No more family visit visa
Around 20,000 expats violated the family visit visa rules and staying in the country illegally after they came on a visit, reports Arabic daily Al-Anba. According to daily, this might be the reason Kuwait had completely stopped issuing family visit visas.
At present only limited visas were issued by the undersecretary of the residence sector and the general director of residence affairs.
The re-opening of the family visit visa is in the hands of the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior. Hence it is unknown when the visas will be re-opened. Commercial visit visas have not stopped.
